- BOMT is a synthetic steroidal antiandrogen
 - Developed in 1970
 - Was never marketed for medical use
 - It was among the earliest antiandrogens to be developed and extensively studied
 - It shows no androgenic, estrogenic, or progestogenic activity even at high doses
 - Possess weak antigonadotropic effects
